What are Cellular Shades?

Cellular shades, also known as honeycomb shades, are window covers used to block or filter light and insulate windows to help save energy & reduce energy costs. The cell (honeycomb) size can vary. Cell shapes hold trapped air and create a barrier between the window surface and the room.

Unlike window blinds, which are made of hard materials, cellular shades are made of a soft paper- or cloth-like material.Typically spun lace and bonded polyester is used, but other fabrics can be used during the manufacturing process.
